Erik and Anita participated in the
Viking Market at Lindholm Høje
July 7-8 2007

As usual it was a cosy market, but of course it was dominated by the bad weather we have had this
summer. All Saturday it was raining and Sunday the wind was brisk. In our tent the spirit was high
though, and I was busy tattooing people in the old was and with ancient motifs.

Here Anita is at the market. Note the mud. Not surprisingly a lot of the cars got stuck in the mud and
had to be dragged free by a local tractor.

Part of the market - with heavy drifting clouds and mud on the ground - and not a lot of people.

The public studied our folders with designs and photos.

Three cool Vikings.

We stayed in a borrowed tent - to the left under our embroidered banner. You may see smoke from
some of the many small fires that struggled against the wet weather.

The children were carefully studying my work and commented a lot.

The small spiral inside the deer's horn was done with the iron needle that he had made himself.

And here follows some of the tattoos that I made during the two days of the market.

We are looking forward to participating in the market again next summer!

There are more photos and stories from Lindholm Høje under the years 2005 and 2006.
